ENGLISH VERSION BELOW // Nach der erfolgreichen Ernte 2019 ist es ruhig um unser Weingut geworden. Doch mit dem Beginn des neuen Jahres gibt es wieder viele Neuigkeiten! Nicht zuletzt hat auch die Corona-Krise Einiges an Kuriositäten zu bieten...

Die Natur hat Ihre eigenen Gesetze und macht natürlich nicht halt vor der aktuellen Krisensituation. Aber zunächst der Reihe nach.
Im Dezember hat der Rebschnitt begonnen und hat sich bis Ende März hineingezogen. Der Rebschnitt erfordert bei unserer gewachsenen Rebfläche viel Geduld ab. Aber dies ist mit Sicherheit der wichtigste Arbeitsschritt in einem Winzerjahr. Schließlich wird einerseits der Ertrag für die folgende Ernte bestimmt. Aber viel wichtiger ist der Stammaufbau der Rebstöcke (Stichwort Sanfter Rebschnitt nach Simonit&Sirch)- Weil jeder Rebstock ein Unikat ist, verlangt dies besondere Zeit und Sorgfalt.
Nach dem Rebschnitt werden die Reben aus dem Drahtgerüst rausgezogen und dann geht es schon ans Anbinden. Letztendlich haben wir diese Aufgaben aber erfolgreich und trotz Umständen zeitgerecht gemeistert. Denn plötzlich ist auch die Natur im Fühling explodiert. Der Austrieb der Reben in unserem Gebiet hat um den 10. April begonnen und ist damit überdurchsnittlich früh. Wie das aussieht sieht ,man auf dem Bild, welches in unserer Ried Schreck entstanden ist.

Dass sich die Naturvom Corona-Virus nicht beeinflußen lässt , ist ein Umstand, der unsere Flexibilität erfordert. Dank der großartigen Bereitschaft unserer Mitarbeiter, welche im regelmäßigen Betrieb Aufgaben im Keller oder Büro bewältigen, im Weingarten mitzuhelfen, gab es zahlreiche Unterstützung für unsere Mitarbeiter im Weingarten.
Aufgaben hat es reichlich gegeben. Unter Anderem wurden hormonelle Fallen (siehe Bild 3) zur Verwirrung des Traubenwicklers in den Weingärten aufgehängt. Mit einer solchen Verwirrungstechnik können wir voll auf Insektizide und Pestizide verzichten!! Andere Aufgaben waren das Abrollen der Hagelnetze (Bild 4). Das Herrichten der Drahtgerüste und auch Anbinden der angeschnittenen Triebe standen am Programm. Den helfenden Händen hats sichtlich gefallen (Bild 4). Vielen Dank für eure Bereitschaft zur Flexibilität!!!

Wir sind somit bereit für die kommende Vegetationsperiode!! Wir brauchen alle Daumen, die gedrückt werden können, damit wir keine Wetterkapriolen wie Hagel und Spätfrost erleben müssen und im Herbst eine schöne und ertragsreiche Ernte einfahren können.
Auch die Rückkehr zu Normalität, was die Corona-Krise anbelangt, wünschen wir uns schnellstens. Schließlich werden unsere Weine in der Gastronomie geliebt.
Bis wir uns wieder auf Veranstaltungen sehen können, wünschen wir euch viel Gesundheit und viel Zuversicht! ENSLISH VERSION After the successful harvest in 2019, it became quiet around our winery. But with the beginning of the new year there is a lot of news! Last but not least, the Corona crisis has a lot of curiosities to offer ...
Nature has its own laws and of course does not stop at the current crisis situation. But first in order. Pruning began in December and continued until late March. Pruning takes a lot of patience on our grown vines. But this is definitely the most important step in a winegrower's year. Finally, the yield for the following harvest is determined. But much more important is the structure of the vines (keyword: soft pruning, Simonit&Sirch method). Because each vine is unique, this requires special time and care. After pruning, the vines are pulled out of the wire frame and then it's time to tie them up. Ultimately, we successfully completed these tasks in a timely manner despite the circumstances. Because suddenly nature also exploded in the spring. The bud birst of the vines in our area started on around April the 10th and is therefore above average early. How it looks, can be seen in the picture, which was created in the Ried Schreck.
The fact that the nature of the Corona virus cannot be influenced is a fact, that requires our flexibility. Thanks to the great willingness of our employees, who deal with tasks in the cellar or office to help in the vineyard, there is plenty of support for our employees in the vineyard.
There were plenty of tasks. Among other things, hormonal traps (see picture 3) were hung up in the vineyards to confuse the European grape berry moth. With such a confusion technique, we can completely farm without insecticides and pesticides !! Other tasks were the unrolling of the hail nets (picture 4). The program included preparing the wire frames and also tie the vines. The helping hands obviously liked it (picture 4). Thank you for your willingness to be flexible !!!
We are ready for the coming growing season !! We need all possible fingers crossed, so that we don't have to experience capricious weather like hail and late frost and can harvest a beautiful and productive crop in autumn. We also wish to return to normality as far as the corona crisis is concerned, as our wines are loved in the HoReCa industry. Until we can see each other again at events, we wish you a lot of health and a lot of confidence! Stay strong and we all support each other, so that we can survive the exceptional situation as unscathed as possible.
