The south-facing vineyard is terraced to allow for cultivation. Here, the ancient Traisen River deposited calcareous carbonate conglomerate. Deeper soil horizons are based on gneiss. Riesling thrives on this site ("Parz") like crickets do. The vineyard was first documented by name in the 12th century.
Falstaff: Pale yellow-green with silver highlights. Initially somewhat reserved, hints of white peach, delicate tropical fruit, multifaceted bouquet. Juicy, elegant, silky and light-footed, finely structured, mineral finish, will benefit from further aging.
