One of the steepest cultivated vineyards in the Danube region, offering breathtaking views of Krems and Göttweig. The Middle High German word "schric" referred to a crack or fissure, a reference to this striking incision in the terrain. The topsoil is extremely poor and therefore ideal for mineral-driven Rieslings.
