A spot ("porce") where crickets thrive, offering Riesling grapes exceptional warmth and sunshine, leading to optimal ripening. Geologically, this vineyard is very complex. The deepest soil horizons contain Gföhl gneiss (over 500 million years old), above which lies calcareous carbonate conglomerate of the Hollenburg-Karlstetten Formation (over 15 million years old), and the topsoil consists of Danube gravel and loess.
