Kremstal DAC regional wines form the basis of a classification of origin. Only grapes from a single wine-growing region may be processed here. Furthermore, only wines from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling may carry the Kremstal DAC designation of origin. The climatic and geological characteristics of the Kremstal region are reflected here. These wines are characterized primarily by lightness and varietal character.
