The historic vineyards around Krems have been cultivated by the Stadt Krems winery for centuries. Viewed in this context, the current team is cultivating these prime sites for only a short period of time, but also for future generations. Environmentally friendly vineyard cultivation is therefore our great responsibility for the future. Sustainable Austria includes guidelines that monitor and continuously improve our entire grape and winemaking process.

The vine is the voice of the vineyard, capturing the essence of each site and translating it into the language of wine. Its roots dig deep into the soil, standing strong through sun, wind, and rain—season after season. Great wine begins with great care. Soft pruning, yield regulation, humus buildup, and meticulous canopy management help the vines produce the best grapes. This effort requires a great deal of experience and the right skills. But even more importantly, it requires the craftsmanship and perseverance of a first-class team.

In our winemaking, everything begins with timing—waiting for the perfect moment of ripeness, choosing only the healthiest grapes with care and precision. From there, we let time do its quiet work, allowing the wines to rest and evolve on their fine lees, drawing out depth and character.
It's a craft shaped by generations, rooted in deep knowledge and guided by a sense for place. Every bottle is a reflection of that: pure, honest and true to the soil it comes from.
